What We Did on Gerhard's Birthday

Gerhard and I went to see Eric Clapton in concert. It was held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium and was sold out. The concert was great and we especially liked when he performed his earlier work. I had to laugh when I read this in the Singapore Straits Times newspaper:

"This is a savvy generation for whom Clapton - known as Slowhand - is no ageing act recycling dated ditties for one last pension-boosting swing around Asia, unlike some gigs that wash up on Singapore's shores".

His new work seems more rock than blues to me but he still remains one of the greatest guitarists.
